Fire alarms and evacuation systems

A fire alarm system is often an installation required by a competent authority. The competent authority refers to the fire service or insurance company. In these cases, the installation will always have to comply with the standard for fire alarm systems.

As of January 1, 2003, with the introduction of the new Building Decree, an additional requirement was added. All required fire alarm systems must be certified in accordance with the 2002 Fire Alarm System Regulations of the National Center for Prevention (NCP). This means, among other things, that the installing company must be an NCP recognized installation company.
